Wikipedia Hits Another Milestone; 10 Millionth Entry Recorded

According to a release from the Wikimedia Foundation, the 10 millionth wikipedia article was created at 5:07 p.m. PDT on Wednesday March 26th. The lucky winner is a post about the Hungarian biography of of 16th century painter Nicholas Hilliard. For those Hungrian natives you can view the post here.

Wikipedia articles have been written across 250 different languages with English being the most popular with 2.3 million entries. After English, the next most popular languages are German, French, Polish, Japanese, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish.
